The city council has several matters to consider at the meeting including requests by several employees for reinstatement to their positions of employment with the city. The city council will also consider the Meadow Brook Subdivision. The council may discuss a Mechanical Code, Business License Fee Structure, Dog Ordinance, Former Mayor Johnny Weaver Retirement, Certain People Doing Business With the City, Budget Resolution 9-2011 (signed into law by Marvin Jarrett, President Pro Tempore, in the absence of Mayor Willis), Rock-A-Billy Festival, Grants for Police Department, Cell Tower for T-Mobile Cellular Services, and Proposed Budget Workshops. The Helena-West Helena City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at 226 Perry Street (City Hall) in the city council chambers. The council members generally concluded their business before 8:00 p.m. The meetings are broadcast live over the internet at: JIM RILEY LIVE and they are broadcast through a delayed broadcast beginning at 10:00 p.m. on KJIW-FM 94.5 (www.kjiwfm.com) to the radio audience. The internet audience may also listen to the internet streaming version of the KJIW FM 94.5 on the website: http://www.kjiwfm.com. Additionally, these meetings shown on local cable television channel 12 during the days following the meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m. These broadcasts are provided at no cost to the city or its citizens through the charity of KJIW FM, Suddenlink Communications and Videomasters (James Riley).
